VPNRice for Chrome
The VPNRice extension for Chrome sends your browser traffic through a VPNRice server with one click from the toolbar. It is the lightest way to use VPNRice on a computer, works on Chromebooks and on Chromium-based browsers that install from the Chrome Web Store, and needs no administrator rights.

Why VPNRice on Chrome
Routes the browser, in one click
Pick a country from the popup and Chrome's traffic goes through that server. Other apps on your computer keep their normal connection; for whole-device protection, use the Windows app or a mobile app.
Choose which sites go through VPNRice
Add sites to a skip list to open them directly, or turn on a use list so only the sites you choose go through VPNRice. Local addresses always stay direct.
Ad blocking in the browser
The extension can block known ad and tracker requests using Chrome's built-in request filtering, without reading the content of your pages. Availability depends on your plan.
Nothing to install on the system
Because it is an extension, it works on Chromebooks and on computers where you can't install desktop apps, and it can be removed in a second.

Protocols on Chrome
- Browser proxy — sends your browser’s traffic through a VPNRice server, so websites see the server’s IP address. Sites you open over HTTPS stay encrypted end to end. Other apps on the device are not covered.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Chrome extension protect my whole computer?
No. It only routes traffic from the browser where it is installed. Other apps, games and system updates use your normal connection. Use the Windows app for whole-device protection.
How does the extension handle my traffic?
The extension uses Chrome's proxy settings to send browser traffic through a VPNRice server, which websites see instead of your IP address. Sites you open over HTTPS stay encrypted end to end; the extension does not create a system VPN tunnel.
Which Chrome version do I need?
A recent Chrome or Chromium-based browser. Keep your browser up to date so the extension receives the features it relies on.
Does it work in Microsoft Edge, Brave or Opera?
Microsoft Edge can install extensions from the Chrome Web Store. Other Chromium-based browsers that support the Chrome Web Store usually can too, but we only test Chrome and Edge.
Why do some sites still see my real location?
Check that the site is not on your skip list, and use the WebRTC leak test on this site. Some browsers can reveal local network addresses through WebRTC; our test shows what your browser exposes.
Can I use my Premium account in the extension?
Yes. Sign in with the same account and the extension shows the servers your plan includes.
