VPNRice for macOS
A native VPNRice app for Mac is in development. Until it is ready, you can route your browsing on macOS through VPNRice servers with the extension for Chrome or the add-on for Firefox, which run on any recent Mac and use the same account as our other apps.
In development This app isn’t available yet. The options below work today.

Status
A desktop VPN on macOS has to use Apple's Network Extension framework, be notarised by Apple and handle sleep, Wi-Fi changes and multiple displays gracefully. We would rather release it when it reaches the standard of our Windows and mobile apps than ship it early. When it is ready, it will appear on this page.
What you can use today
Chrome extension on Mac
Add VPNRice to Chrome, or to Microsoft Edge and other Chromium-based browsers that use the Chrome Web Store, and route browser traffic through VPNRice servers with one click.
Firefox add-on on Mac
If Firefox is your browser, the VPNRice add-on runs on Firefox 142 or later for macOS and supports skip and use lists for individual sites.
Same account everywhere
Sign in with the account you use on your phone. A Premium plan works in the browser extensions too.

Frequently asked questions
When will the macOS app be released?
We don't give dates for apps in development. It will appear on this page and in our news section when it is available.
Can I use the iPhone app on a Mac?
We only list VPNRice for iPhone and iPad. Some Macs with Apple silicon can run iPad apps, but we don't support or test that configuration.
Does the browser extension protect my whole Mac?
No. It only routes traffic from the browser where it is installed. Mail, games and other apps keep using your normal connection.
Which browsers can I use on macOS today?
Chrome and Chromium-based browsers that install from the Chrome Web Store, and Firefox 142 or later.
Will my Premium plan work on the Mac app later?
Your account and plan are shared across VPNRice apps, so the Mac app will use the same sign-in.
Can I be told when it's ready?
