IP address lookup

Enter a public IPv4 or IPv6 address to see where it is registered and which network it belongs to.

How IP lookup works

Every public IP address belongs to a block that a regional registry assigned to a network operator, and that operator announces it under an autonomous system number (ASN). Geolocation databases map these blocks to places. The result tells you who operates the network and roughly where it is, not who is using the address.

What it’s useful for

Check where a server you connect to is located, see which provider an address in a log belongs to, or confirm that your VPN server is in the country you chose. Private addresses such as 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x only exist inside local networks and have no public location.
