VPNRice for Routers
Router support for VPNRice is in development. A VPN on the router would protect every device on your home network, including consoles and smart-home gadgets. Until then, install VPNRice on the devices you use most: the Windows app covers your PC and the Android app covers phones and tablets.
In development This app isn’t available yet. The options below work today.

Status
Routers run many different firmware types and have far less memory and processing power than a phone or PC, which matters for protocols like RiceGuardX. We are working out which firmware we can support reliably and how to keep router connections up to date, and we will publish instructions here when they are ready.
What you can use today
Windows app
Protects every app on a Windows 10 or 11 PC, with Game mode for supported games and app filtering for programs you want to keep on your direct connection.
Android and Android TV apps
Protect phones, tablets, TVs and set-top boxes that run Android 7.0 or later, with per-app VPN on phones and tablets.
One account, several devices
Sign in with the same account on each device. The number of devices your account can use at once is shown in the app.

Frequently asked questions
Can I set up VPNRice on my router manually?
Not at the moment. VPNRice does not provide manual WireGuard or other configuration files.
Which routers will be supported?
We will publish a list of supported firmware and models on this page when router support is released.
How do I protect a game console without router support?
On a Windows PC, Game mode protects supported games running on the PC. Consoles can't run VPN apps, so they will need router support.
Will router support use my existing account?
Yes, the same VPNRice account and plan.
Is a router VPN slower?
It depends on the router's processor. Many home routers are much slower at encryption than a phone or PC, which is one reason we are testing carefully before release.
Where will the release be announced?
In the News section of this site and on this page.
