Password generator
Create a strong random password. It’s generated in your browser with cryptographic randomness and never sent anywhere.
How the generator works
Passwords come from your browser’s crypto.getRandomValues, the same source of randomness used for encryption keys. Each character is picked with rejection sampling so every allowed character is equally likely, and at least one character of each type you selected is included. The page never sends the password over the network.
Tips for strong passwords
Use a different password for every account and keep them in a password manager. Length matters more than complexity: 16 or more characters is a good default. Turn on two-factor authentication wherever it is offered.
