What is www?

As its name suggests, a web browser is a software application that allows you to browse websites on the internet. Often shortened to "browser," it is also known as "internet browser." Some popular examples include Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Brave.
On a personal computer, a web browser is often your gateway to a variety of online services and content, such as your favorite search engine or website. On smartphones, there are alternative apps, but you still often have to rely on a web browser to find information or visit websites.
Most modern devices, including smartphones, tablets and laptops, usually have a built-in web browser. However, you still have the ability to download and use another browser according to your preferences.
How does a web browser work?
When you enter a domain name or URL into your web browser's address bar, the browser uses Domain Name Servers (DNS) to find the IP address that corresponds to the domain name you provided. Once you have your IP address, your device, called the client, sends requests using TCP and HTTP protocols to the server containing the website you want to access. This server then receives the request, analyzes it and generates a web page in the form of HTML code, which is the basic part of every website.
After the website is finished building, the server sends the website data back to your client. The web browser on the client receives the data and then displays the web page on your screen so you can view and interact with it.
What is a search engine?
A search engine is a computer application that helps you find information on the internet by using keywords or keyword phrases to search.
For example: Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, Yahoo
Let's say you want to gain knowledge about how a VPN works. You start your web browser and go to a search engine, such as Google, then you type keywords like "What is VPN" into the search box. The search engine will display a list of websites that contain the information you are looking for.
How do search engines work?
Each search engine uses a unique search algorithm to determine how to organize and rank content for any specific query. There are three important steps that search engines typically take:
1.Crawling: Search engines automatically crawl the internet to learn about content, including web pages, images, and videos.
2.Indexing: The search engine then stores this information into a database called its index. The index is a collection of data that search engines use to look up information. It's worth noting that not everything collected will be stored in search engine indexes.
3.Rank: Once data is in the index, search engines use ranking algorithms to evaluate and rank websites. The goal is to provide search results that best match your query. When ranking a page, search engines consider many factors, including the freshness of the content, its relevance to the search query, and the number of links from other sites to the site. that page.
What is the difference between a web browser and a search engine?

A web browser like Firefox is a software application that allows you to access the internet, allowing you to view web pages by downloading and displaying them directly on your screen. Meanwhile, a search engine like Google is a tool that helps you find the websites you want by using keywords or keyword phrases.
For example, Web browsers allow you to visit specific websites by entering the URL directly in the address bar. Search engines allow you to search for websites related to a specific topic. For example, if you want to learn about how a VPN works, you can search "How does a VPN work" on a search engine, and it will bring up a list of websites that explain it.
Often both tools are used together. For example, when you want to use a search engine to find specific information, you can open a web browser and conduct your search from there.
