  Faster VPN connection times

Our goal is to help you stay connected to Rice VPN at all times and quickly connect to the VPN in just one click, even in less-than-ideal network conditions. This is especially useful when you're in places with network restrictions, like school or work, or where strict censorship applies.

Previously, the Rice VPN app used a method of testing different ways to connect to the VPN, and it may require multiple tries on limited networks before connecting successfully. But now, we have quickly found a more effective solution. We call it “parallel connection,” and it has been integrated into the Rice VPN app for iOS.

By using a parallel connection, we are simply trying all the connection methods at once, and simply connecting to the one that succeeds first. As a result, the VPN connection is established quickly and efficiently, giving you a smoother and more secure web browsing experience.
